王上8:22-24
所罗门当着以色列会众、站在耶和华的坛前、向天举手说、耶和华以色列的 神阿、天上地下没有神可比你的．你向那尽心行在你面前的仆人、守约施慈爱．向你仆人我父大卫所应许的话、现在应验了．你亲口应许、亲手成就、正如今日一样。
Solomon stood before the altar of Yahweh in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven; and he said, "Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath; who keep covenant and loving kindness with your servants, who walk before you with all their heart; who have kept with your servant David my father that which you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is this day.
主耶稣！所罗门对父亲大卫王的敬重，以仆人的身份形容父亲在耶和华神面前的地位，表明耶和华神在所罗门心中的崇高。主啊！愿每个做领导的都像所罗门王，晓得自己在耶和华神面前的身份，我们都是事奉神的仆人。
