撒下16:5-6,9-10
大卫王到了巴户琳、见有一个人出来、是扫罗族基拉的儿子、名叫示每、他一面走、一面咒骂．又拿石头砍大卫王和王的臣仆．众民和勇士都在王的左右。洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛对王说、这死狗岂可咒骂我主我王呢。求你容我过去、割下他的头来。王说、洗鲁雅的儿子、我与你们有何关涉呢。他咒骂、是因耶和华吩咐他说、你要咒骂大卫．如此、谁敢说你为甚么这样行呢。
When king David came to Bahurim, behold, a man of the family of the house of Saul came out, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera. He came out, and cursed still as he came. He cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David, and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, "Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Please let me go over and take off his head." The king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? Because he curses, and because Yahweh has said to him, 'Curse David;' who then shall say, 'Why have you done so?'"
主耶稣！大卫被人辱骂，丢石头，没有吩咐士兵去阻止，反而容许那人继续做恶。主啊！大卫在那样的处境，仍然把耶和华神摆在面前。不与无理的人相争，不与弱智的人相斗。主啊！这是我要的美。
