王上2:1-3
大卫的死期临近了、就嘱咐他儿子所罗门说、我现在要走世人必走的路、所以你当刚强作大丈夫、 遵守耶和华你神所吩咐的、照着摩西律法上所写的行主的道、谨守他的律例、诫命、典章、法度、这样、你无论作甚么事、不拘往何处去、尽都亨通。
Now the days of David drew near that he should die; and he commanded Solomon his son, saying, "I am going the way of all the earth. You be strong therefore, and show yourself a man; and keep the instruction of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do, and wherever you turn yourself.
主耶稣！大卫王临终向儿子的叮咛仍然围绕着神的律例。主啊！求祢使认识祢名的每个父亲，他们临终的叮咛都能够像大卫王一样，有耶和华神所赐的恩典，有清晰的思维，说话，儿女都在身边。愿父亲的叮咛以耶和华为中心。主啊！做为父亲的我，求祢垂听我的祈求。阿们！
