撒下19:9-12
以色列众支派的人纷纷议论、说、王曾救我们脱离仇敌的手、又救我们脱离非利士人的手．现在他躲避押沙龙逃走了。我们膏押沙龙治理我们、他已经阵亡。现在为甚么不出一言请王回来呢。大卫王差人去见祭司撒督和亚比亚他、说、你们当向犹大长老说、以色列众人已经有话请王回宫．你们为甚么落在他们后头呢。你们是我的弟兄、是我的骨肉．为甚么在人后头请王回来呢。
All the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, "The king delivered us out of the hand of our enemies, and he saved us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he has fled out of the land from Absalom.
Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why don't you speak a word of bringing the king back?" King David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, "Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, 'Why are you the last to bring the king back to his house? Since the speech of all Israel has come to the king, to return him to his house.
You are my brothers, you are my bone and my flesh. Why then are you the last to bring back the king?'
主耶稣！我要儆醒像那5个智慧的童女，预备迎接主再来，做个识时务的人，明察秋毫，免得误时误事，误人误己。求主赐福给孩子我和我的家族像以萨迦支派二百个族长、他们都通达时务、知道以色列人所当行的。
