王下20:12-13，15
那时巴比伦王巴拉但的儿子比罗达巴拉但听见希西家病而痊愈、就送书信和礼物给他。希西家听从使者的话、就把他宝库的金子、银子、香料、贵重的膏油、和他武库的一切军器、并他所有的财宝、都给他们看．他家中和他全国之内、希西家没有一样不给他们看的。...以赛亚说、他们在你家里看见了甚么。希西家说、凡我家中所有的、他们都看见了．我财宝中没有一样不给他们看的。
At that time Berodach Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah; for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick. Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn't show them. He said, "What have they seen in your house?" Hezekiah answered, "They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them."
主耶稣！希西家王为向巴比伦王炫耀财富付出了惨重的代价。主啊！我一切所拥有都出于神，也当归于神，不为所得而夸口，不为所知而张狂，不为所是而嚣张，只在乎将所有的叫神得荣耀。
