王下17:38-41
我耶和华与你们所立的约你们不可忘记、也不可敬畏别神． 但要敬畏耶和华你们的神．他必救你们脱离一切仇敌的手。他们却不听从、仍照先前的风俗去行。如此这些民又惧怕耶和华、又事奉他们的偶像．他们子子孙孙也都照样行、效法他们的祖宗、直到今日。
You shall not forget the covenant that I have made with you; neither shall you fear other gods. But you shall fear Yahweh your God; and he will deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies." However they did not listen, but they did what they did before. So these nations feared Yahweh, and served their engraved images. Their children likewise, and their children's children, as their fathers did, so they do to this day.
主耶稣！以色列民心怀二意又惧怕耶和华神，又事奉外邦人的神。主啊！求圣灵光照，引领信心软弱的信徒，脱离事奉玛门的捆绑，赐给他们有苏醒的灵，因祢的名引导他们走义路。
