箴23:6-7,20-21
不要吃恶眼人的饭、也不要贪他的美味．因为他心怎样思量、他为人就是怎样．他虽对你说、请吃、请喝、他的心却与你相背。好饮酒的、好吃肉的、不要与他们来往。因为好酒贪食的、必致贫穷．好睡觉的、必穿破烂衣服。
Don't eat the food of him who has a stingy eye, and don't crave his delicacies: for as he thinks about the cost, so he is. "Eat and drink!" he says to you, but his heart is not with you. Don't be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat: for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
主耶稣！夏娃与蛇谈话，相信蛇的话，吃了分别善恶果。今天，撒旦的使者，仍旧使用美食美酒诱惑人。人若是与狼同食，必为其所食。主啊！祢是我一切祝福的源头，我不在倚靠自己的聪明，知道请我吃饭的人有恶名，虽然他是有权势的人，一切美食美酒，我都会婉拒。
