诗17:3-4
你已经试验我的心．你在夜间鉴察我．你熬炼我、却找不着甚么．我立志叫我口中没有过失。论到人的行为、我借着你嘴唇的言语、自己谨守、不行强暴人的道路。
You have proved my heart. You have visited me in the night. You have tried me, and found nothing. I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey. As for the works of men, by the word of your lips, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.
主耶稣！原来我们在许多事上都有过失．若有人在话语上没有过失、他就是完全人、也能勒住自己的全身。祢用环境，人事，美物，试验我的心，鉴察我暗中的行为，熬炼我的心志。然而，我口中所要说的话语，却是断定我的行为在祢面前是否完全。主啊！愿我心中常存敬畏，好叫我口中的话语满有智慧。
