诗13:3-6
耶和华我的神阿、求你看顾我、应允我、使我眼目光明、免得我沉睡至死．免得我的仇敌说、我胜了他．免得我的敌人在我摇动的时候喜乐。但我倚靠你的慈爱．我的心因你的救恩快乐。我要向耶和华歌唱、因他用厚恩待我。
Behold, and answer me, Yahweh, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death; Lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed against him"; Lest my adversaries rejoice when I fall. But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to Yahweh, because he has been good to me.
主耶稣！大卫王面对仇敌，第一个反应是选择面前耶和华神。向神歌唱，称颂神的慈爱，感谢神的厚恩，求神使眼目光明。主啊！我如今晓得，仇敌的手法是要使我的眼目离开你，我却定意效法大卫王，不再注目恶人，眼目定睛于荣耀的十字架。
