箴24:30-34
我经过懒惰人的田地、无知人的葡萄园．荆棘长满了地皮、刺草遮盖了田面、石墙也坍塌了．我看见就留心思想、我看着就领了训诲。再睡片时、打盹片时、抱着手躺卧片时，你的贫穷、就必如强盗速来、你的缺乏、彷佛拿兵器的人来到。
I went by the field of the sluggard, by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; Behold, it was all grown over with thorns. Its surface was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down. Then I saw, and considered well. I saw, and received instruction: a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep; so your poverty will come as a robber, and your want as an armed man.
主耶稣！我每天都会接触到不同的人，有熟悉和不认识的人。看见人起人落，在高位时被人追捧，下岗后被人遗忘。看到有的家族兴旺，有的家庭破碎。看到孤独的老人，还有无人照顾的小孩。主啊！周围发生的事，都有他的起源，求祢怜悯我，赐给我谋略的灵，不再懒惰，使我有智慧去回应所看到的这一切。
