创6:17-18, 21-22

看哪、我要使洪水泛滥在地上、毁灭天下、凡地上有血肉、有气息的活物、无一不死。我却要与你立约、你同你的妻、与儿子、儿妇、都要进入方舟。凡有血肉的活物、每样两个、一公一母、你要带进方舟、好在你那里保全生命。..你要拿各样食物积蓄起来、好作你和他们的食物。挪亚就这样行．凡神所吩咐的、他都照样行了。

I, even I, do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die. But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you...Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. Take with you of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them."

Thus Noah did. According to all that God commanded him, so he did.

主耶稣！当我读到, 凡神所吩咐的, 挪亚都照样行。我的心再次被激活。挪亚不被眼前又大又难的任务所吓。神吩咐我们要切实彼此相爱, 要儆醒祷告, 要饶恕, 要爱我们的仇敌, 主啊！我们信的太迟钝, 求主赦免我们的不顺服。
