加2:6-9 

至于那些有名望的、不论他是何等人、都与我无干．神不以外貌取人．那些有名望的、并没有加增我甚么．反倒看见了主托我传福音给那未受割礼的人、正如托彼得传福音给那受割礼的人．那感动彼得、叫他为受割礼之人作使徒的、也感动我、叫我为外邦人作使徒, 又知道所赐给我的恩典、那称为教会柱石的雅各、矶法、约翰、就向我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之礼、叫我们往外邦人那里去、他们往受割礼的人那里去．

But from those who were reputed to be important (whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God doesn't show partiality to man)--they, I say, who were respected imparted nothing to me, but to the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the Good News for the uncircumcision, even as Peter with the Good News for the circumcision (for he who appointed Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision appointed me also to the Gentiles); and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, they who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision.

主耶稣！神不以外貌取人, 主啊！这是我们都知道的, 然而, 我们总是偏爱结交有才干, 有能力, 有势力的人。求主赦免我们的自大。也求主赦免我们的自傲, 我们经常忽视了弱势者, 他们内心的需要。求主加添我们切实谦卑所需的智慧。
