传道者专心寻求可喜悦的言语、是凭正直写的诚实话。智慧人的言语、好象刺棍．会中之师的言语、又像钉稳的钉子．都是一个牧者所赐的。
The Preacher sought to find out acceptable words, and that which was written blamelessly, words of truth. The words of the wise are like goads; and like nails well fastened are words from the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
主耶稣！若不是出于圣灵，所罗门怎么能得到这奇妙的看见。主啊！祢就是大牧人，我向祢求处事侍人的智慧，说话合宜的智慧，教养孩子，理财，交友的智慧，身心灵健康的智慧。忠心，诚实，良善，行善的智慧。勇敢，果断，明辨的智慧。敬畏神，荣耀神的智慧。主啊！在我活着的日子，求祢不要不赐给我，就是在凡事上在祢面前诚实的智慧。
