诗59:10-13
我的神要以慈爱迎接我． 神要叫我看见我仇敌遭报。 不要杀他们、恐怕我的民忘记．主阿、你是我们的盾牌．求你用你的能力使他们四散、且降为卑。..求你发怒、使他们消灭、以至归于无有、叫他们知道神在雅各中间掌权、直到地极。
My God will go before me with his loving kindness. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph. Don't kill them, or my people may forget. Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield. ...Consume them in wrath. Consume them, and they will be no more. Let them know that God rules in Jacob, to the ends of the earth.
主耶稣！我似乎看到大卫王内心复杂的祷告。主啊！我有同样的心情，我晓得经上说：你们倒要爱仇敌、也要善待他们、并要借给人不指望偿还．你们的赏赐就必大了、你们也必作至高者的儿子．因为他恩待那忘恩的和作恶的。天父！我要遵循祢的话，要去爱我的仇敌，我内心很挣扎，求祢来相助。
