帖前3:1-3

我们既不能再忍、就愿意独自等在雅典．打发我们的兄弟在基督福音上作　神执事的提摩太前去、坚固你们、并在你们所信的道上劝慰你们．免得有人被诸般患难摇动．因为你们自己知道我们受患难原是命定的。

Therefore when we couldn't stand it any longer, we thought it good to be left behind at Athens alone, and sent Timothy, our brother and God's servant in the Good News of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith; that no one be moved by these afflictions. For you know that we are appointed to this task.

主耶稣！使徒保罗清楚知道, 为福音的缘故, 受苦难是命定的。主啊！我明白了, 受苦难不是命定, 然而传福音却是会遭受到各样的苦难。求主加添心力, 不会因为会有苦难, 而退缩, 不去传福音。
