后来他们打发几个法利赛人和几个希律党的人、到耶稣那里、要就着他的话陷害他。他们来了、就对他说、夫子、我们知道你是诚实的、甚么人你都不徇情面．因为你不看人的外貌、乃是诚诚实实传神的道．纳税给该撒可以不可以。耶稣说、该撒的物当归给该撒、神的物当归给神。他们就很希奇他。

They sent some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words. When they had come, they asked him, "Teacher, we know that you are honest, and don't defer to anyone; for you aren't partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Jesus answered them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." They marveled greatly at him.

主耶稣！我在思想神的物当归给神, 除了当纳的十一奉献以外, 还包括了什么？主啊！原来我所有的一切都是从神而来的, 我要将一切所有的, 归荣耀於神。
